Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work 7 Sins by Michael Joo for USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,431.63). This price was achieved in the auction Editions & Works on Paper at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Joo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Improved Rack (Elk #11) in February 2008 with an auction result of USD 143,000.00 (€ 94,159.48).
