Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated featuring works from “In Its Own Light: Property from the Collection of Ed Cohen and Victoria Shaw”, which included the work Untitled (Head) by Marisa Merz. The price achieved of USD 118,750.00 (€ 111,002.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marisa Merz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in July 2015 for GBP 194,500.00 (€ 275,735.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated featuring works from “In Its Own Light: Property from the Collection of Ed Cohen and Victoria Shaw” durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Head) von Marisa Merz zur Versteigerung kam.
