Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
This work without title by Marisa Merz was worth GBP 162,500.00 (€ 185,281.81) to a buyer in October 2017. This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale at Phillips in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Marisa Merz; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in July 2015 with the realized price of GBP 194,500.00 (€ 275,735.67).

Die Arbeit ohne Titel von Marisa Merz war einem Käufer im Oktober 2017 GBP 162.500,00 (€ 185.281,81) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 50.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Marisa Merz; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juli 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 194.500,00 (€ 275.735,67).
