This work without title by Marisa Merz was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in London in June 2017. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 32,500.00 (€ 37,011.44), 63% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Marisa Merz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 194,500.00 (€ 275,735.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 63 % übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Marisa Merz wurde im Juni 2017 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 32.500,00 (€ 37.011,44) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marisa Merz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 194.500,00 (€ 275.735,67).
