Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2018 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Marisa Merz. The price achieved of EUR 22,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marisa Merz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 194,500.00 (€ 275,735.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2018 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Marisa Merz zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 22.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marisa Merz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 194.500,00 (€ 275.735,67).
