The work Wrapping Bonbon by Laurence Jenkell was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in March 2018. The »bidding war« ended at USD 137,500.00 (€ 111,607.14), 72% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Laurence Jenkell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bonbon Aluminum Polimiroir, which sold at auction in November 2019 for USD 325,000.00 (€ 294,945.09).

Die Arbeit Wrapping Bonbon von Laurence Jenkell wurde im März 2018 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 137.500,00 (€ 111.607,14) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Laurence Jenkell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bonbon Aluminum Polimiroir beobachtet, die im November 2019 für USD 325.000,00 (€ 294.945,09) versteigert wurde.
