Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bonbon by Laurence Jenkell was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in London in March 2019. The price achieved of GBP 93,750.00 (€ 108,812.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Laurence Jenkell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bonbon Aluminum Polimiroir, which sold at auction in November 2019 for USD 325,000.00 (€ 294,945.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bonbon von Laurence Jenkell wurde im März 2019 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 93.750,00 (€ 108.812,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Laurence Jenkell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bonbon Aluminum Polimiroir beobachtet, die im November 2019 für USD 325.000,00 (€ 294.945,09) versteigert wurde.
