Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Double Entrance/Double Exit 15 by Kon Trubkovich was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 5,245.31). Admittedly, works by Kon Trubkovich have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Out of the black and into the white in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 47,276.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Double Entrance/Double Exit 15 von Kon Trubkovich im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 5.245,31) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kon Trubkovich auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Out of the black and into the white im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 47.276,85).
