In November 2017 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale - Afternoon Session, which included the work Out of the black and into the white by Kon Trubkovich. The »bidding war« ended at USD 56,250.00 (€ 47,276.85), 61% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Out of the black and into the white the most expensive artwork by Kon Trubkovich that we have observed at auctions so far.
