In November 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Punta Della Dogana 2009 by José-María Cano. The »bidding war« ended at USD 100,000.00 (€ 80,398.78), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by José-María Cano have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ws100-Jack Ma in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 3,220,000.00 (€ 380,075.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im November 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Punta Della Dogana 2009 von José-María Cano zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 80.398,78) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von José-María Cano auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ws100-Jack Ma im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.220.000,00 (€ 380.075,26).
