In June 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Is It For The Foreigner That Your Majesty Trembles? by José-María Cano. The result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 30,008.16) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by José-María Cano achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ws100-Jack Ma in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 3,220,000.00 (€ 380,075.26).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juni 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Is It For The Foreigner That Your Majesty Trembles? von José-María Cano zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 30.008,16) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von José-María Cano erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ws100-Jack Ma im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.220.000,00 (€ 380.075,26).
