Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Black And Yellows by José Guerrero was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2012. The price achieved of USD 98,500.00 (€ 79,666.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by José Guerrero - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Comienzo, 1982, which sold at auction in October 2007 for EUR 228,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Black And Yellows von José Guerrero kam im Mai 2012 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 98.500,00 (€ 79.666,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von José Guerrero mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Comienzo, 1982 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für EUR 228.250,00 versteigert wurde.
