Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Black And Yellows by José Guerrero was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2012. The price achieved of USD 98,500.00 (€ 79,666.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by José Guerrero - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Comienzo, 1982, which sold at auction in October 2007 for EUR 228,250.00.
