Upper estimate price exceeded by 25 %.
In December 2018 Christies in Paris held the auction Post-war and contemporary art - vente du jour, which included the work Esquinas by José Guerrero. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 68,750.00 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by José Guerrero - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Comienzo, 1982, which sold at auction in October 2007 for EUR 228,250.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2018 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Post-war and contemporary art - vente du jour durch, in der auch die Arbeit Esquinas von José Guerrero zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 68.750,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von José Guerrero mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Comienzo, 1982 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für EUR 228.250,00 versteigert wurde.
