Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Juntos by José Guerrero was sold in the European Paintings including The Orientalist Sale, Symbolism and the Poetic Vision and Spanish Painting auction at Sothebys in London in November 2008. The price achieved of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 21,158.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by José Guerrero achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Comienzo, 1982 in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 228,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Juntos von José Guerrero wurde im November 2008 in der Auktion European Paintings including The Orientalist Sale, Symbolism and the Poetic Vision and Spanish Painting bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 21.158,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von José Guerrero erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Comienzo, 1982 im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 228.250,00.
