Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Day Auction, which included the work Frigiliana by José Guerrero. The price achieved of GBP 97,250.00 (€ 114,119.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by José Guerrero - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Comienzo, 1982, which sold at auction in October 2007 for EUR 228,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2009 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Frigiliana von José Guerrero zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 97.250,00 (€ 114.119,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von José Guerrero mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Comienzo, 1982 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für EUR 228.250,00 versteigert wurde.
