In October 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Litoral by José Guerrero. The result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 31,083.11) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by José Guerrero have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Comienzo, 1982 in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 228,250.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2012 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Litoral von José Guerrero zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 31.083,11) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von José Guerrero auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Comienzo, 1982 im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 228.250,00.
