Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Decay by Iván Navarro was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2019. The price achieved of USD 43,750.00 (€ 40,119.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Iván Navarro - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Shortcut, which sold at auction in May 2013 for USD 161,000.00 (€ 123,960.58).

Die Arbeit Decay von Iván Navarro kam im September 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 40.119,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Iván Navarro mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Shortcut beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für USD 161.000,00 (€ 123.960,58) versteigert wurde.
