Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Metal Electric Chair by Iván Navarro was sold in the Post-War to Present auction at Christies in October 2021. The price achieved of USD 40,000.00 (€ 34,626.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Iván Navarro - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Shortcut, which sold at auction in May 2013 for USD 161,000.00 (€ 123,960.58).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 34.626,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Iván Navarro mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Shortcut beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für USD 161.000,00 (€ 123.960,58) versteigert wurde.
