Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by H. C. Westermann achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in October 2020. In the Editions & Works on Paper auction, the work Red Planet 'J' (Red Planet J) sold for USD 4,410.00 (€ 3,786.38) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by H. C. Westermann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rosebud in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 137,000.00 (€ 123,035.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von H. C. Westermann erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit Red Planet 'J' (Red Planet J) für USD 4.410,00 (€ 3.786,38) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von H. C. Westermann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rosebud im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.000,00 (€ 123.035,47).
