Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

In April 2021 Phillips in New York held the auction Editions & Works on Paper, which included the work Green River, from Six Lithographs (A. & B. 19C) by H. C. Westermann. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,016.00 (€ 1,675.81). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by H. C. Westermann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rosebud in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 137,000.00 (€ 123,035.47).

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Im April 2021 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Editions & Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit Green River, from Six Lithographs (A. & B. 19C) von H. C. Westermann zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.016,00 (€ 1.675,81) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von H. C. Westermann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rosebud im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.000,00 (€ 123.035,47).
