This price was achieved in the auction Editions & Works on Paper at Phillips in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 1,200.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by H. C. Westermann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rosebud in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 137,000.00 (€ 123,035.47).

Die Arbeit Disasters in the Sky #5 von H. C. Westermann war einem Käufer im Oktober 2020 USD 10.710,00 (€ 9.195,50) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper bei Phillips in New York erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.200,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von H. C. Westermann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rosebud im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.000,00 (€ 123.035,47).
