It achieved a price of USD 17,640.00 (€ 15,145.53), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 47%. Admittedly, works by Gladys Nilsson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work By a Waterfall ....., 1973 in September last year with an auction result of USD 113,775.00 (€ 116,298.68).

Die Arbeit Unseating / Up Settling von Gladys Nilsson wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 17.640,00 (€ 15.145,53) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 47%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gladys Nilsson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit By a Waterfall ....., 1973 im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 113.775,00 (€ 116.298,68).
