Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California, which included the work Danzin, circa 1980s-90s by Gladys Nilsson. Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,287.50 (€ 8,471.33). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gladys Nilsson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work By a Waterfall ....., 1973 in September last year with an auction result of USD 113,775.00 (€ 116,298.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California durch, in der auch die Arbeit Danzin, circa 1980s-90s von Gladys Nilsson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 8.287,50 (€ 8.471,33) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gladys Nilsson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit By a Waterfall ....., 1973 im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 113.775,00 (€ 116.298,68).
