Auction result well in line with expectations
In September last year Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work About Bows by Gladys Nilsson. The price achieved of USD 11,340.00 (€ 11,591.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gladys Nilsson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work By a Waterfall ....., 1973 in September last year with an auction result of USD 113,775.00 (€ 116,298.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit About Bows von Gladys Nilsson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.340,00 (€ 11.591,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gladys Nilsson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit By a Waterfall ....., 1973 im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 113.775,00 (€ 116.298,68).
