Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Cris Brodahl could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Curated featuring works from “In Its Own Light: Property from the Collection of Ed Cohen and Victoria Shaw” auction, the work The Window changed hands for USD 875.00 (€ 817.91) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cris Brodahl achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Jean Genie in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 32,500.00 (€ 22,607.12).
In der Auktion Contemporary Curated featuring works from “In Its Own Light: Property from the Collection of Ed Cohen and Victoria Shaw” wechselte die Arbeit The Window für USD 875,00 (€ 817,91) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00.
