Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work News Bombs by Cris Brodahl. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 17,235.64) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Cris Brodahl have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2011 the work The Jean Genie was auctioned for USD 32,500.00 (€ 22,607.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit News Bombs von Cris Brodahl zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 17.235,64) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Cris Brodahl konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2011 die Arbeit The Jean Genie für USD 32.500,00 (€ 22.607,12) versteigert.
