Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Window, 2006 by Cris Brodahl was auctioned at Sothebys in Online in March 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,200.00 (€ 1,785.71) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cris Brodahl achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Jean Genie in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 32,500.00 (€ 22,607.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Window, 2006 von Cris Brodahl kam im März 2018 bei Sothebys in Online zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.200,00 (€ 1.785,71) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cris Brodahl erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Jean Genie im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 22.607,12).
