Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Cris Brodahl could be acquired at Sothebys in London in April 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Thin Whites changed hands for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,694.47) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cris Brodahl - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Jean Genie, which sold at auction in May 2011 for USD 32,500.00 (€ 22,607.12).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Cris Brodahl konnte im April 2018 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wechselte die Arbeit Thin Whites für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.694,47) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Cris Brodahl mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Jean Genie beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für USD 32.500,00 (€ 22.607,12) versteigert wurde.
