Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Alive by Cris Brodahl was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in London in October 2011. It changed hands for a price of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,956.50) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cris Brodahl - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Jean Genie, which sold at auction in May 2011 for USD 32,500.00 (€ 22,607.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still Alive von Cris Brodahl wurde im Oktober 2011 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.956,50) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Cris Brodahl mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Jean Genie beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für USD 32.500,00 (€ 22.607,12) versteigert wurde.
