Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Wall by Cris Brodahl was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2017, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,041.43). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cris Brodahl - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Jean Genie, which sold at auction in May 2011 for USD 32,500.00 (€ 22,607.12).
