The work The Mosque, Cordova by Cleve Gray was worth USD 25,000.00 (€ 20,292.21) to a buyer in March 2018. This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Cleve Gray; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Remembering Chi Pai Shih No. 2 sold at auction in March last year with the realized price of USD 27,720.00 (€ 24,988.73).
