In March 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Jacob'S Ladder by Cleve Gray. The »bidding war« ended at USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,132.88), 56% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cleve Gray - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Remembering Chi Pai Shih No. 2, which sold at auction in March last year for USD 27,720.00 (€ 24,988.73).

Im März 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jacob'S Ladder von Cleve Gray zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.132,88) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Cleve Gray mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Remembering Chi Pai Shih No. 2 beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für USD 27.720,00 (€ 24.988,73) versteigert wurde.
