Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Box For Sewing by Charles LeDray was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2007. The price achieved of USD 36,000.00 (€ 26,759.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles LeDray have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Promised Land in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 182,500.00 (€ 135,657.47).

Die Arbeit Box For Sewing von Charles LeDray wurde im Mai 2007 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 36.000,00 (€ 26.759,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles LeDray auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Promised Land im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 182.500,00 (€ 135.657,47).
