Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2011 Phillips in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Part II, which included the work Untitled (diptych) by Charles LeDray. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,042.57) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles LeDray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Promised Land in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 182,500.00 (€ 135,657.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2011 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (diptych) von Charles LeDray zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.042,57) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles LeDray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Promised Land im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 182.500,00 (€ 135.657,47).
