Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Charles by Charles LeDray was sold in the Contemporary Art Part II auction at Phillips in New York in May 2011. It changed hands for a price of USD 27,500.00 (€ 19,129.10) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles LeDray have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Promised Land in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 182,500.00 (€ 135,657.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Charles von Charles LeDray wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Part II bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 19.129,10) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles LeDray auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Promised Land im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 182.500,00 (€ 135.657,47).
