Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Charles LeDray could be acquired at Christies in New York in January 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Open House auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,857.54) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles LeDray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Promised Land in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 182,500.00 (€ 135,657.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles LeDray konnte im Januar 2009 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Open House wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 7.500,00 (€ 5.857,54) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles LeDray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Promised Land im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 182.500,00 (€ 135.657,47).
