Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Bathyscape by Charles Hinman was sold in the First Open | Post-War and Contemporary Art | NY auction at Christies in New York in September 2016. Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,122.98). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Hinman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Aeneas, which sold at auction in September 2014 for USD 34,375.00 (€ 27,221.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Bathyscape von Charles Hinman wurde im September 2016 in der Auktion First Open | Post-War and Contemporary Art | NY bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.122,98) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Hinman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Aeneas beobachtet, die im September 2014 für USD 34.375,00 (€ 27.221,25) versteigert wurde.
