Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Charles Hinman achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in February 2021. In the Modern, Contemporary & Latin American Art auction, the work Red Canyon sold for USD 15,300.00 (€ 12,651.95) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Hinman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Aeneas, which sold at auction in September 2014 for USD 34,375.00 (€ 27,221.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Hinman erzielte im Februar 2021 bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern, Contemporary & Latin American Art wurde die Arbeit Red Canyon für USD 15.300,00 (€ 12.651,95) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Hinman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Aeneas beobachtet, die im September 2014 für USD 34.375,00 (€ 27.221,25) versteigert wurde.
