This artwork by Charles Hinman achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2021. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Red - Green sold for USD 17,640.00 (€ 15,021.72) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Charles Hinman; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Aeneas sold at auction in September 2014 with the realized price of USD 34,375.00 (€ 27,221.25).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Hinman erzielte im März 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Red - Green für USD 17.640,00 (€ 15.021,72) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Charles Hinman; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Aeneas im September 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 34.375,00 (€ 27.221,25).
