Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Shadows On The Façade by Andro Wekua for USD 28,125.00 (€ 22,612.16). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Andro Wekua have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2014 by the work Workshop Report (Full Portfolio) at GBP 35,000.00 (€ 44,689.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Shadows On The Façade von Andro Wekua für USD 28.125,00 (€ 22.612,16) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Andro Wekua wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Oktober 2014 die Arbeit Workshop Report (Full Portfolio) mit GBP 35.000,00 (€ 44.689,94).
