Auction result misses estimated price range
In March this year a collector was able to acquire the work Purple Ear by Andro Wekua for GBP 504.00 (€ 573.40). This price was achieved in the auction First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andro Wekua achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Workshop Report (Full Portfolio) in October 2014 with an auction result of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 44,689.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Purple Ear von Andro Wekua für GBP 504,00 (€ 573,40) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andro Wekua erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Workshop Report (Full Portfolio) im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 44.689,94).
