Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Split Piece by Wyatt Kahn was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2015. The price achieved of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 66,440.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wyatt Kahn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sideways, which sold at auction in October 2014 for GBP 122,500.00 (€ 156,414.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Split Piece von Wyatt Kahn kam im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 66.440,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wyatt Kahn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sideways beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für GBP 122.500,00 (€ 156.414,80) versteigert wurde.
