Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Wyatt Kahn was auctioned at Phillips in London in April 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 18,900.00 (€ 21,740.50). Admittedly, works by Wyatt Kahn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sideways in October 2014 with an auction result of GBP 122,500.00 (€ 156,414.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Wyatt Kahn im April 2021 bei Phillips in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 18.900,00 (€ 21.740,50) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wyatt Kahn auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sideways im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 122.500,00 (€ 156.414,80).
