Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Moonlight (Luna County, New Mexico) by Spencer Finch was sold in the Evening & Day Editions auction at Phillips in New York in October 2019. The price achieved of USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,922.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Spencer Finch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work New York Boogie Woogie (Times Square, April 27, 2003, 10:07 Pm) in October 2018 with an auction result of USD 68,750.00 (€ 60,668.90).
