This artwork by Spencer Finch achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in April 2019. In the Evening & Day Editions auction, the work Moonlight (Luna County, New Mexico, July 13, 2003) sold for USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,811.80) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Spencer Finch have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work New York Boogie Woogie (Times Square, April 27, 2003, 10:07 Pm) in October 2018 with an auction result of USD 68,750.00 (€ 60,668.90).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Spencer Finch erzielte im April 2019 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Evening & Day Editions wurde die Arbeit Moonlight (Luna County, New Mexico, July 13, 2003) für USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.811,80) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Spencer Finch auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit New York Boogie Woogie (Times Square, April 27, 2003, 10:07 Pm) im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 60.668,90).
