Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Seat Leg Table by Scott Burton. The price achieved of GBP 97,250.00 (€ 123,557.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Other works by Scott Burton have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2007 the work Pair of Granite Chairs was auctioned for GBP 156,500.00 (€ 224,744.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seat Leg Table von Scott Burton zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 97.250,00 (€ 123.557,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Scott Burton konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2007 die Arbeit Pair of Granite Chairs für GBP 156.500,00 (€ 224.744,30) versteigert.
