Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Chair I & Chair Ii by Scott Burton. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 114,500.00 (€ 149,761.51), 21% above the upper estimate. Other works by Scott Burton have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 156,500.00 (€ 224,744.30) in October 2007 for the work Pair of Granite Chairs.

Im Februar 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chair I & Chair Ii von Scott Burton zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 114.500,00 (€ 149.761,51) und damit 21% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Scott Burton haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 156.500,00 (€ 224.744,30) im Oktober 2007 für die Arbeit Pair of Granite Chairs beobachtet.
