Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Mission by Richard Pousette-Dart was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session auction at Phillips in New York in November 2018. Here, the upper estimate of USD 45,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 50,000.00 (€ 44,157.91). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Pousette-Dart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blood Wedding in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 2,629,000.00 (€ 2,489,111.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Mission von Richard Pousette-Dart wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 45.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 50.000,00 (€ 44.157,91) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Pousette-Dart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blood Wedding im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.629.000,00 (€ 2.489.111,91).
