The »bidding war« ended at USD 27,720.00 (€ 26,190.48), 39% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ralph Goings achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Hot Fudge Sundae Interior" in May 2014 with an auction result of SEK 3,100,000.00 (€ 339,772.73).

Die Arbeit Vox Americana von Ralph Goings wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-War to Present bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 27.720,00 (€ 26.190,48) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ralph Goings erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Hot Fudge Sundae Interior" im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 3.100.000,00 (€ 339.772,73).
