Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wheel by Ralph Goings was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in New York in November this year. The price achieved of USD 38,400.00 (€ 35,203.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ralph Goings have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Hot Fudge Sundae Interior" in May 2014 with an auction result of SEK 3,100,000.00 (€ 339,772.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Wheel von Ralph Goings wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 38.400,00 (€ 35.203,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ralph Goings auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Hot Fudge Sundae Interior" im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 3.100.000,00 (€ 339.772,73).
